About the Work
When Medline's skin health team identified an underserved patient population in need of an antibacterial wicking sheet, they needed a manufacturing partner who could solve a complex development challenge from the ground up—identifying and sourcing the right fabric, developing a custom coating and converting process, and scaling a reliable commercial operation. The result: Remedy® DriGo-HP™, a product that guards skin and wicks moisture away from skin-on-skin friction for patients who needed a better solution.
Build by Boyd partnered with Medline Industries to finalize product and packaging specifications, develop and validate custom manufacturing processes, and take full ownership of supply chain management for ongoing commercial production.

Launching Remedy® DriGo-HP™ required solving a genuinely complex manufacturing challenge. The product's stretchy wicking fabric demanded a custom coating process and custom low-tension converting tooling—both of which Build by Boyd developed, installed, and validated for commercial production. Close collaboration with the coating solution manufacturer, fabric manufacturer, and Medline was essential to developing and validating multiple interdependent processes.
Alongside the manufacturing development, Build by Boyd created a custom packaging solution designed to maximize ease of use and functionality while meeting competitive cost requirements—ensuring the product could succeed both clinically and commercially.

Manufacturing
With validated processes in place, Build by Boyd launched Remedy® DriGo-HP™ into commercial production. A large initial inventory build supported the product launch, and the operation transitioned into regular production campaigns as adoption grew.
At scale, the team completed process optimization programs to meet material yield and productivity requirements and streamline packaging operations—establishing a manufacturing operation that delivers reliable product quality and a competitive cost of goods sold.

CUSTOM CONVERTING
The Remedy® DriGo-HP™ fabric is a stretchy wicking fabric that requires a custom coating process and a custom converting process with low-tension tooling. Build by Boyd developed, installed, and validated the coating process and the low-tension tooling to support commercial manufacturing.

Build by Boyd created a custom packaging solution to maximize the product's ease of use and functionality while simultaneously providing a competitive cost of goods sold.

Supply Chain Management
Remedy® DriGo-HP™ is manufactured from a moisture-wicking fabric and a proprietary antibacterial solution, requiring careful supply chain development from the earliest stages of the program. Build by Boyd worked closely with Medline to identify and source materials, collaborate with suppliers on process development and validation, and build a demand plan to support launch.
Today, Build by Boyd owns and manages all supplier relationships and procurement procedures—maintaining raw material quality and on-time delivery while supporting Medline's business continuity requirements through alternate source qualification.
