When Philips set out to expand its Zoom! portfolio—the number one patient-requested whitening brand—they needed a manufacturing partner who could take a new product from process development to commercial production without disrupting a demanding launch timeline. The result: a fully validated, optimized manufacturing operation for the Philips Zoom! whitening pen, built and sustained by Build by Boyd.

Process Development & Validation

Bringing the Philips Zoom! whitening pen to market required optimizing a new manufacturing process, installing and qualifying new equipment, and completing full process validation. Alongside the technical work, Build by Boyd supported the regulatory documentation and procedures needed to meet the requirements of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA).

Working closely with the Philips team, Build by Boyd completed process optimization, validation, and regulatory modernization on schedule—giving Philips the confidence to launch on time.

Today, Build by Boyd owns and manages the full supply chain—gathering demand forecasts, maintaining an adequate raw materials pipeline, and qualifying alternate chemical suppliers and distributors to meet Philips's business continuity requirements.
