Mobius® Essential

The Mobius® Essentials product launch required the team at Build by Boyd to develop a new manufacturing process, specify and procure custom manufacturing equipment, and complete two large-scale process validation programs, including IQ, OQ, and PQ. To support the scope of this program, our facilities team at Build by Boyd also designed and installed a new 3,000 square foot Class 7 Cleanroom to house two discrete production operations. 

The Mobius® Essential products are made from MilliporeSigma's PureFlex™ film and over 30 additional components and materials. Our supply chain management team worked in close collaboration with the MilliporeSigma team, demonstrating the strength of our partnership, to develop a demand plan to support the commercial launch and ongoing production operations. With the establishment of the commercial manufacturing operation, the supply chain management team at Build by Boyd owns and manages the suppliers and procurement procedures to support ongoing production and future growth. 

MilliporeSigma and Build by Boyd successfully launched the Mobius® Essential product line and introduced a new standard of off-the-shelf bioprocessing bags and tubing assemblies. The plug-and-play assemblies extended MilliporeSigma's leadership position in the bioprocessing industry and provided capacity and flexibility for future growth and innovation.
