Lee, Massachusetts - Boyd Technologies is a 2010 recipient of the Save Energy Now Award given as part of the Industrial Technologies Program from the Department of Energy ("DOE"). The program recognizes U.S. manufacturing plants for implementing recommendations identified during Save Energy Now energy assessments and achieving significant energy savings.

Boyd Technologies was honored at the Energy Efficiency Global Forum in Washington, DC on May 10, 2010. As an Energy Saver, Boyd reduced its total energy usage in 2010 by more than 7.5%. "It was a real honor to receive the award and trophy in Washington, DC after all of the hard work we've done to reduce our energy usage," commented Michael Santolin, Boyd Technologies Director of Facilities and Maintenance. Boyd Technologies joins an elite group of U.S. manufacturers honored by the DOE with the 2010 award. Boyd and its fellow award recipients can be viewed on the DOE website at www.energy.gov .

The Energy Efficiency Global Forum attracts executive-level leaders from all end-use sectors who are committed to putting energy efficiency to work in their businesses, communities, and markets. "We are committed to providing advanced materials solutions for a safe, clean, healthy world," commented Stephen Boyd, President of Boyd Technologies. "That goes beyond the best in class manufacturing solutions we provide to include how we act as a responsible member of our global market and our local community," Stephen added.
